The Society is actively interested in Planning issues and
comments to the Reading Borough Council on many applications and, when
applications are contentious, speaks at the Planning Committee during
the consideration of applications. We have, on recent planning issues,
corresponded with English Heritage, the DCMS and also the Planning Inspectorate
with regard to appeals. We have also worked with local residents where
planning applications are seen to be inappropriate. We describe below
